Rare & collectable early 20th century RUG. 100% hand-spun woollen pile & all organic dyes. Hand-knotted weave from Malayer in the Hamadan province with traditional tribal design if a diamond-shaped medallion in a field of bold Herati Mahi motifs. Floral patterned border. The entire in rich shades of indigo, madder, cream, coral & cornflower blue. Gallery exhibited & in excellent condition.
