A rare collectable antique early 20th century rug. 100% hand-spun woollen pile & all organic dyes. Hand-knotted Caucasian rug, specifically from the Borchalou region in the southwest Caucasus with design of a bold floral medallion set within a field of floral sprays. Border of palmettes, rosettes & tendrils. The entire in rich shades of indigo, madder, Persian red, cream & cerulean. Gallery exhibited & in excellent condition.
